ALCS gets festive
25/09/2012
This month brings two very different literary festivals, and ALCS is delighted to be supporting both of them. Bath Festival of Children's Literature and Marlborough LitFest cater to different audiences, but share the same love of literature, stellar line-ups and an excellent variety of events.
ALCS is very pleased to be part of the 2012 Bath Festival of Children's Literature, the UK's biggest Festival celebrating children's books and authors. As well as being an Associate Sponsor of the whole festival, we're also sponsoring ‘The Fantastic Roald Dahl’, an event featuring former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen on 29 September.
ALCS is the founder sponsor of the Marlborough LitFest, which began in 2010. Author Mavis Cheek, the Chair of the LitFest Committee, started the Festival "so that we could return to recognising and celebrating and supporting real writers writing really good writing".
Taking place this year between 28 and 30 September the LitFest line-up includes Howard Jacobson, Aminatta Forna, Iain Banks and Michael Frayn along with many other writers in a packed programme. We’re confident this year’s festivities will be better than ever.
Ticket giveaway for Michael Rosen at Bath Festival of Children's Literature 2012
'The Fantastic Roald Dahl’ event with Michael Rosen has now sold out, but we're lucky enough to have three pairs of tickets to give away. Drop us an email with your ALCS reference and we'll draw three lucky Members' names out of the hat.
