Toby Faber
Toby has been a professional writer since 2001, before that his business career took him from corporate finance through an MBA and management consultancy to being managing director of Faber and Faber. He still combines his writing with some business commitments.
Toby’s two books of narrative non-fiction, Stradivarius and Fabergé's Eggs, were both published in the UK by Macmillan and in the US by Random House, and have between them been translated into 8 languages.
Toby has been non-executive chairman of Faber Music, a music publisher, since 2007 and he is still a non-executive director of Faber and Faber. He is a trustee of Yale University Press (UK) and of the drugs charity, Release. He lives in London with his wife and daughter.
