Rights Awareness

Over the next three years ALCS will seek to broaden understanding of authors’ rights.

Key target groups in the short to medium term will include:

ALCS Members
Writers in all disciplines
UK politicians
Key civil servants
EU politicians
EC administrators
Government advisers and agencies working in the fields of academia, education, literacy, reader development, libraries, creative industries, business and economic development, science and technology, medicine and so on
All education sectors
Journalists as communicators and influencers as well as journalists as writers.

ALCS has made a submission to the EC and DCMS regarding their i2010:digital libraries consultation.
ALCS has made a submission to the All Party Internet Group Inquiry into Digital Rights management.
ALCS has made a submission to the Culture, Media & Sport Committee Inquiry into new media and the creative industries.
ALCS has made a submission to the Gowers Review of Intellectual Property.
