Rights Awareness
Over the next three years ALCS will seek to broaden understanding of authors’ rights.
Key target groups in the short to medium term will include:
- ALCS Members
- Writers in all disciplines
- UK politicians
- Key civil servants
- EU politicians
- EC administrators
- Government advisers and agencies working in the fields of academia, education, literacy, reader development, libraries, creative industries, business and economic development, science and technology, medicine and so on
- All education sectors
- Journalists as communicators and influencers as well as journalists as writers.

ALCS has made a
submission to the EC and DCMS regarding their i2010:digital libraries consultation.
ALCS has made a
submission to the All Party Internet Group Inquiry into Digital Rights management.
ALCS has made a
submission to the Culture, Media & Sport Committee Inquiry into new media and the creative industries.
