Writers' House and the Members' Room
The Writers' House is the building in the City of London which houses ALCS staff and operations. It also includes a space for our writer Members - The Members' Room.
Members' Room at the Writers' House
This quiet and comfortable room is for the use of our Members when they are in London, either as a workspace or as a venue where they can meet other writers.
The Members’ Room is available on weekdays (except bank holidays) between 10am and 4pm. It can accommodate up to ten Members at a time and includes seating for four Members at computers.
The computers are connected to the internet, but the room does not have wireless internet access. Members are welcome to bring laptops but do so at their own risk. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available at the Writers' House.

Book your space
Because space is limited, it is important that before you visit the Members’ Room you call us on 020 7264 5700 to book your space or email Catherine.ravetta@alcs.co.uk. There may also be occasions on which the room is unavailable to Members.
Events at the Writers' House
As and when events are organised they will be posted on the front page of this website, so please keep it under review.
Full guidelines for using the Members' room can be downloaded here.
