ALCS writes letter to Arts Council England about £1.57 billion cultural relief package

ALCS has written to the Arts Council England (ACE) concerning the distribution of the £1.57 billion cultural relief package unveiled by the UK Government earlier this month.

ACE will be part of the decision process, alongside the Government and other cultural bodies, when it comes to awarding grants and loans from the relief package to organisations and projects that may need them. ALCS has asked ACE to consider the needs of writing and literature groups when making these decisions, to ensure they receive the support they need.

ALCS has already received a positive response to this letter from ACE and looks forward to the release of more details around how this relief package will benefit writers.
