Nominations are now open for the 2019 Tinniswood Award!

Nominations for the 2019 awards are open until the 29 September, so radio scriptwriters with works broadcast between 1 October 2017 and 31 October 2018 should get their entries in.

ALCS is proud to sponsor the Tinniswood Award again, an initiative that encourages the growth of a high standard of writing in the radio industry. Celebrating writers of original radio drama broadcast within the UK, this award was created by the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and the Society of Authors in memory of scriptwriter Peter Tinniswood.

Any original audio drama scripts for UK-broadcast stand-alone radio plays or first episodes of a radio series or serial that were first broadcast or made available online between 1 October 2017 and 31 October 2018 are eligible to be put forward for this award. Entries must be submitted no later than 29 September using the nomination form to be in with a chance of winning.

This year’s award winner will receive a £3,000 cash prize at the BBC Audio Drama Awards in January 2019 and will join the likes of 2018 winner Sarah Woods and 2017 winner James Fritz, as a recipient of the prestigious award.
