Society of Authors’ Awards 2021 open for entries

The 2021 Society of Authors' Awards are now open to entries for its seven awards spanning fiction, poetry, non-fiction and illustrated children's books.

The SoA Awards recognise the best and most promising writers of each year. ALCS was proud to be the sponsor of the 2020 awards, which were hosted online for the first time as a result of lockdown. The SoA released a series of short, powerful videos celebrating the 32 authors across nine awards who shared a £100,000 prize fund. Emerging and established talent were recognised across novels, short stories, poetry, and non-fiction, plus a new accolade for illustrated children’s books, The Queen’s Knickers Award.

Submissions are now open for next year’s Society of Authors’ Awards. We’re pleased to once again be sponsoring these fantastic prizes, awarded for work by writers at all stages of their careers, from short stories to novels to poetry; with submissions accepted from both self-published and traditionally published authors.

The ALCS Tom-Gallon Trust Award
