ALCS Board elections 2021

This year, three positions are available on the ALCS Board of Directors.

Nominations for Board members will open on 6 September 2021. Both the nominations and the following election will be run by Civica Election Services (CES), so all communications will come from them.

About the posts

With two posts for audiovisual writers and one general post available in this year’s election, we want to make sure that the best qualified candidates are nominated. All applicants will need to provide the details of four other ALCS members who will nominate and support them in their application to stand.

Being an ALCS Director carries with it legal, financial and ethical responsibilities including, importantly, a duty to exercise independent judgement.  Our aim is for every director on the Board to be a positive, dynamic influence on ALCS and its future direction. Good interpersonal and communication skills are vital, and previous board or committee experience is desirable.

Timetable

6 September – The nominations process begins; an email will be sent to members by CES with details of how to put yourself forward if you’d like to stand.

11 October – The nominations process closes.

25 October – The election opens. Details about the candidates who are standing for election, how to vote and a timetable for voting will be communicated to members by CES.

25 November – The successful candidates will be announced at the ALCS AGM.
