FINAL CHANCE TO ENTER PARLIAMENTARY COMPETITION FOR NEW FILMMAKERS

Written a short film script or made a short film? Enter the Film the House competition for the chance to receive mentoring from industry professionals and funds towards furthering your film career.

Entrants have until 2 July 2021 to submit their work; films should be independently funded and creators are reminded that there is no specific time frame in which you have to have made your film in order for it to be eligible.

About the competition

Celebrating the UK’s brightest future film-making talent, Film the House provides a means for the UK creative industries to communicate the importance of intellectual property (IP) rights. ALCS is proud to be co-sponsor of a competition that enables Parliamentarians to highlight creativity and IP, and constituents across the country to interact with their local MP, perhaps for the first time. The other sponsors of Film the House include Directors UK, Motion Picture Association (MPA), Netflix, Prime Video, ViacomCBS, the Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Entertainment.

The categories include:

  • Best Film Script (Under 19 /Over 19)
  • Directors UK Best Film Direction (Under 19 /Over 19)
  • Best Short Film (Under 19 /Over 19)

Previous winners

Previous winners of Film the House have been celebrated at events in Parliament, where they had the chance to mingle with sponsor representatives, as well as other creators.
