If you’re receiving a payment, here is how you will get your statement (and other frequently asked questions).

We’ll be paying out around £10.9 million gross to over 27,000 members this distribution, with payments reaching members’ bank accounts on or around 26 September.

If you are, we will let you know your statement is available for download by:

  • sending an email to your registered email address*
  • adding a notification to your online account.

If you don’t receive an email and there is no notification in your online account, then you haven’t received a payment this time. It’s worth remembering that the September distribution is the smaller of our two distributions and that different income streams can be received by ALCS at different times.

We are no longer sending paper statements to members, so you’ll need to log in to your online account to view your statement.

*This doesn’t apply if your agent receives your payments. We’ll notify them of payments instead.

If you are due a payment in this distribution, your statement will be in the folder marked ‘2018-2019’. To download a copy of your statement, please follow the steps below.

  1. To download your statement in PDF format, click on >Request Statement Download.
  2. When your statement is ready for download, the message will change to >Download Statement.
  3. Click on >Download Statement and your statement will download (probably to your computer’s ‘Downloads’ folder).
  4. Alternatively, click the option to have your statement emailed to you.

Your statement will include a list of sources against each payment. See our September 2018 Guide to Your Statement to help you understand where the money you are due has come from.

Below is a video guide to getting into your account and (if needs be) resetting your password.

We’re a small team, so if you need to get in touch we thought it would be nice to put a face to a name! Of course, during distribution time we receive a higher volume of phone calls and emails than usual, so we appreciate your patience while we answer your queries.

I’ve logged into my online account but there’s no new statement notification.

This means you weren’t due a payment this time. Check again at the time of the next ALCS distribution in March 2019.

I’ve had a new statement notification but no payment.

In the first instance, check which bank account we have sent your payment to by logging into your online account and checking your payment details. If you have recently changed your account and forgotten to tell us, contact our Membership department on or 020 7264 5700 for advice.

If you have a non-UK bank account, the payment may take a couple of extra days to arrive.

I’ve had a payment but no statement.

As we are no longer sending statements in the post, we’ll email you to inform you that your statement is ready. Please log in to your account to view the statement.

I’m having trouble accessing my online account.

Watch our handy guide to logging in above. If you don’t think you’ve been set up with an online account yet, please contact us and we’ll get this sorted for you.

I’ve been paid a lot less than usual.

Payments often fluctuate, despite some members receiving similar amounts of money over a period of time. Read why there can be fluctuations in payments.

I made a claim for visual contributions last year. Is this included in my payment?

Yes, if you made a claim in 2017/18, it will be paid in this distribution.

Why isn’t my book earning any royalties yet?
