The September 2017 distribution: are you due a payment?

15 September 2017

If you’re due some money, here is how you will get your statement (and other frequently asked questions).

At the end of this month, ALCS will pay out around £9.5 million to 24,000 members. Money should reach members’ UK bank accounts by 27 September 2017. If you have a non-UK account, this may take a little longer to arrive.

The September distribution is always the smaller of our two yearly distributions (the larger is in March). The majority of payments made in September are from audiovisual sources such as TV and radio retransmission fees, though there can sometimes be smaller numbers of reprographic fees from educational sources distributed too.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE DUE A PAYMENT?

If you are, we will:

  1. send you an email to your registered email address to let you know your statement is ready to view in your online account
  2. put a notification in your online account to let you know that there is a new statement available for download.

If you don’t receive an email, and there is no notification in your online account, then you haven’t received a payment this time.

We’re not sending out any paper statements to members, so you’ll need to login to your online account to view your statement.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR STATEMENT

If you are due a payment in this distribution, your statement will be in the folder marked ‘2017-2018’ and you can either download your statement or have a copy emailed to you.

1.  To download your statement in PDF format click on >Request Statement Download

2. When your statement is ready for download, the message will change to >Download Statement

3. Click on >Download Statement and your statement will download (most likely to your computer downloads folder)
